UFCW Sisters and Family,     
         
A new era has arrived with the election of UFCW International executive officers yesterday!       

Our heartfelt congratulations to UFCW International President, Marc Perrone upon his retirement! And our sincere congratulations to his successor, our first minority President of the UFCW, President Milton Jones along with our first Canadian Secretary-Treasurer, Shawn Haggarty.     On behalf of the Network Board, we are excited to welcome and work with our new leadership! Knowing President Jones’ experienced career, deep dedication to UFCW constituency groups, his understanding of the benefits of our expansion and the necessity of our existence; fills me with gratitude and continued hope to fulfill our mission.

     Shawn Haggarty, Secretary-Treasurer experience and commitment will continue to unite the Canadian and American UFCW family bringing new opportunities and collaboration for women across the U.S. and Canada.     

A special congratulations to our sister, Lisa Pederson! Her election to the position of Executive Vice President is well-earned! She is a model of professionalism, perseverance and dedication for us all to follow.
